Alpha Star Air Ambulance, one of the largest air ambulance operators in the Middle East, has signed a contract with Medusa Medical to implement the newly released Siren Electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) Suite version 4.  Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Alpha Star is Medusa’s first customer in the Gulf region.

Alpha Star is a private, critical care air ambulance company who transports patients to desired treatment facilities anywhere in the world.  Equipped with state of the art medical equipment and self-contained ICU beds, Alpha Star’s air ambulance fleet team provides critical care patients with comprehensive, in flight medical care while en route to the treatment destination.

John Paladino, VP Air Medical says, “ We have a highly trained staff, and we wanted to be able to take advantage of the latest technology to help them provide effective and advanced pre-hospital treatment and care to our patients. After a month long testing period, we knew Siren was the right solution for us. It’s going to allow us to easily transition from paper and to better examine our clinical treatments”.

The implementation process is well underway, with an anticipated go-live date of spring 2014.
