Insights from SEMSA
We were excited to once again exhibit at the Saskatchewan Emergency Medical Services Association (SEMSA) 2016 conference last week in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. There were some interesting sessions, including a discussion from AHS’s Nick Thain, on a leadership competency framework for EMS professionals interested in the development and enhancement of their leadership skills and attaining future careers goals/growth.
The conference was also a great opportunity to meet some new faces, and to catch up with our good friends at MD Ambulance. They showed us their custom online learning environment that they are using to decrease paramedic training time (for upgrading from Siren V3 to Siren V4). This type of effective earning path may assist EMS services in the future to keep paramedics on the road and not in the classroom!
Our next conference is the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada in Saskatoon from May 31st – June 2nd. Stop by Booth 46 and have a chat, we’d love to see you there.
