Twenty-two EMS agencies in both Hamilton and Marion counties are setting the bar when it comes to providing innovative and cutting edge patient care technology to its communities.
Both counties have come together to implement the latest version of Siren, Medusa Medical Technologies’ flagship electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) solution into more than 200 vehicles. Designed for use in ambulances en route to hospital, Siren and its complementary hardware employ an easy-to-use, touch screen interface that enables paramedics to record patient data more accurately, and in less time, than with traditional pen and paper.
Oliver Nemeskeri, Medusa’s VP of Solution Delivery, says Siren’s built in, multi-agency technology allows smaller agencies to use an enterprise-grade ePCR solution while reducing the cost of ownership”. Nemeskeri adds that, “smaller agencies are able to benefit greatly with enhanced security, functionality, and system integration than going it alone. In addition, having live patient care reporting directly integrated to the State's syndromic surveillance system is a massive benefit for the citizens of the two counties."
