Ambulance Operations Management
March 6th, 2009
To Whom It May Concern:
The EHS System of Nova Scotia (EHS) are supportive of Medusa Medical Technologies delivery of electronic patient care records (e-PCR) solutions to other public safety systems and customers. EHS is a branch of the Nova Scotia Department of Health which continually develops, implements, monitors and evaluates out of hospital emergency health services in the province through a performance-based contract with Emergency Medical Care (EMC) Inc., known to the public as EHS Ambulance Operations.
The Medusa team worked collaboratively with the EHS Ambulance Operations project team to implement and manage a province-wide e-PCR solution. This joint Medusa-customer approach for a successful implementation consisted of project management expertise, paramedics, communication officers, operations supervisors, and information technology personnel. This project team planned, tested, and implemented the Medusa Siren Suite as the first Canadian provincial EMS system deployment of the Medusa Siren product and included: configuring over 150 tablets; retrofitting 160 systems ambulances; with training for over 850 ground and air paramedics and nurses to effectively use the new application for each patient care contact.
Members of EHS Operations would be pleased to provide you any overview of the product and/or demonstration of the Medusa product in our operations environment to help you better understand all components necessary to guide you and your team on product selection and successful implementation of the Medusa Solution.
